Photo Essay: Merida

I recently celebrated the union of two dear friends, Storm & Josh, in Merida, Mexico, where every street corner tells a story steeped in the intricate layers of its past. Merida captivates with its fusion of Mayan and Spanish influences, evident in its breathtaking architecture and vibrant local culture.

As I wandered its streets, I found myself drawn to the juxtaposition of old-world charm and modern innovation, a testament to its evolving identity. While already a popular tourist destination, there were moments where it still felt like this sleepy city is on the cusp of becoming the next hot spot. It was a unique opportunity to embrace the city's charm and experience its authentic Mexican atmosphere without the crowds of tourists.
